AUTUMN LEAVES CREATIONS

To join a little Autumn Exhibition organized at our school, we elaborated the following creations made with autumn leaves. We used:

• a piece of paper
• leaves
• crayons
• glue 
• scissors
• markers
• and, as always, lots of IMAGINATION.

SEAFOOD FESTIVAL ART EXHIBITION, OCTOBER 2013

Hi there! Here you are our Art creations for the 50th aniversary of our town (O Grove) famous Seafood Festival. We used different materials to make these beautiful paintings. We hope you'll like them!

I AM BLOP!

We've discovered a great book to help us develop our creativity, practise our reading and have a great time while reading it. It's the book I'm Blop, by the great Hervé Tullet author of so many wonderful books for children (Press here, The big book of art, The game of mix up art, Doodle cook...) //Este curso hemos descubierto un libro genial para desarrollar nuestra creatividad, practicar la lectura y pasar un buen rato leyendo. Se trata del libro "Soy un Blop", del autor francés Hervé Tullet, también autor de libros como" Un libro", "El gran libro del arte", ...

WE'RE BACK! - A LESSON ON MIXING COLOURS

Hi! Even if there has been no posting yet, we're back! //¡Hola! Aunque no habíamos escrito nada todavía, ¡estamos de vuelta!

This year we have 2 bilingual sections at our school, so this little corner will now be filled with the works done by 3rd and 4th graders in the Art bilingual section.//Este año tenemos 2 secciones bilingües en nuestro cole, por lo que este pequeño rinconcito estará ahora lleno de los trabajos de los niños de 3º y 4º en la sección bilingüe de plástica.

As last year, to introduce the subject to the new students (3rd grade), we started with the story "Little blue and little yellow" , that we completed with a little experiment. Here you are the pictures if you'd like to see!// Como el año pasado, presentamos la asignatura a los nuevos alumnos (3º) con la historia "Pequeño azul y pequeño amarillo", lo que completamos con un pequeño y sencillo experimento. Aquí os dejamos las fotos por si os apetece verlas.

 

BEAUTIFUL COASTERS 1, 2, 3. BEAUTIFUL COASTERS FOR MY FAMILY AND ME!

Hi kids! Here's a video of our Art activity for family day. A set of simple coasters made of plasticine and lots of imagination! I hope your families loved them. 

OUR ART FOLDERS COVER

Hi kids! Here you are your Art folders' covers inspired by Matisse's cutouts. The task consisted on designing a collage using: GEOMETRIC SHAPES, ORGANIC SHAPES AND POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SHAPES. It was a little bit messy but SUPER FUN!.

Using this collage as a background we cut the letters of our names and we got these fantastic master pieces!

OUR KLIMT AND KANDINSKY-INSPIRED WORK

After our trees "Klimt style" full of Kandinsky leaves we learned a little bit more about these two authors and decided to do our own version of some of their creations to keep practising on mixing and combining colours, drawing lines and shapes, watercolouring...  Here are some pics of our work, if you'd like to see...// Después de hacer nuestros árboles "Klimt style" llenos de hojas "Kandinsky style", y tras la experiencia descubriendo a Matisse y su arte, decicimos profundizar un poquito más en el trabajo de estos otros dos autores y hacer nuestras propias versiones de alunos de sus cuadros pra seguir aprendiendo sobre cómo combinar colores, trazar líneas, dibujar formas, pintar con acuarela, usar el pincel... Aquí os queda una muestra de nuestro trabajo.

OCEAN MONSTERS - OUR PAPER MACHE EXPERIENCE

Hi kids! Here's a little video to summarize our paper maché experience. To complement our ocean project, and as part of the school Nature project, we designed and created the following ocean monsters. It was very cool and fun!
