THE MAGIC OF COLOURS

As every year, 3rd graders were introduced to Art (it's their first year doing "Plástica" iun English at our school) by learning about the magic of colours. For that, we usually read "Little blue and little yellow" and then experiment with primary colours. And that's what we did, as you can watch on the video below:

WE'RE BACK! - A LESSON ON MIXING COLOURS

Hi! Even if there has been no posting yet, we're back! //¡Hola! Aunque no habíamos escrito nada todavía, ¡estamos de vuelta!

This year we have 2 bilingual sections at our school, so this little corner will now be filled with the works done by 3rd and 4th graders in the Art bilingual section.//Este año tenemos 2 secciones bilingües en nuestro cole, por lo que este pequeño rinconcito estará ahora lleno de los trabajos de los niños de 3º y 4º en la sección bilingüe de plástica.

As last year, to introduce the subject to the new students (3rd grade), we started with the story "Little blue and little yellow" , that we completed with a little experiment. Here you are the pictures if you'd like to see!// Como el año pasado, presentamos la asignatura a los nuevos alumnos (3º) con la historia "Pequeño azul y pequeño amarillo", lo que completamos con un pequeño y sencillo experimento. COOL COLOURS /WARM COLOURS

We have been learning about different types of colours. We have learned that there are COOL colours (blue, purple, green, grey, ...) and WARM colours (red, yellow, orange, brown...). To work on these concepts, we made a painting choosing either cool colours or warm colours. Since we were also working on our ocean unit, we decided our painting will represent four oceans made with patterns and just 3 colours. Here you are the result:

COLOURING FOAM: A FUN EXPERIMENT!

Here is our first Art experience and experiment. After having read, listened and watched how colours do magic wen you mix them, we wanted to experience it by ourselves. We decided to do it in a different way, WATCH OUR VIDEO! // Aquí está nuestro primer experimento plástico de este curso. Tras haber leído, escuchado y visto cómo actúan los colores al mezclarlos, decidimos experimentarlo nosotros mismos. Decidimos hacerlo de una forma diferente, usando espuma y colorante alimentario, aquí tenéis el vídeo de nuestra actividad.

AN INTRODUCTION - "LITTLE BLUE, LITTLE YELLOW"

To introduce the Art lessons this year, we started with this story: "Little blue, little yellow" and the beautiful animation below //Para presentar las clases de plástica este año, empezamos con la historia "Pequeño azul, pequeño amarillo" y esta preciosa animación.
